You can choose to travel to Ranong on PB Air's daily flight.

BY BUS
You can take the bus from Southern Route Bangkok Bus Terminal (tel: 02-434-5557 to 8). The BKK-Ranong route takes approximately 9 hours. There are mainly two departure times from Bangkok: 8 am or 8 pm.

BY CAR
If you choose to go on your own road trip, you may rent a car from Bangkok and head South to Ranong on Petchkasem Road (Highway No. 4), then turn off at Chumporn to get to Ranong.

Ton Son Pier is located near the Ngao Waterfalls and the famous Grasshill of Ranong. To get to Ton Son Pier you simply travel on the same road passing both popular attractions and turn right (this point is approximately 16 km south of downtown Ranong) on to the road heading towards the Mangrove Research Center (look for the sign). Please check the map for detailed directions.
You may choose to get there by hiring a motorcycle taxi (look for colored vests) or charter a Song Thaew (modified truck taxi) from anywhere in Ranong directly to Ton Son Pier. However, this may be a costlier way to get to the pier.A suggestion for those who want to safe cost, take a Song Thaew from Ranong to Baan Ngao Market ('Talad Baan Ngao' in Thai); which will cost you merely 8-15 Baht per person. Then you can choose to charter either a motorcycle taxi or a Song Thaew again to Ton Son Pier. It is only a few more kilometers to go from there.
