Koh Kam islands consist of 8 small islands under the responsibility of Laem Son National Park. Those islands are Koh Kam Yai, Koh Kam Tok, Koh Kam Nui, Koh Yee Phun, Koh Lan, Koh Fai Waeb, Koh Nok Kwak, and Koh Khang Khao.
Koh Kam Yai
Located 27 kilometers southwest of Koh Phayam, Koh Kam Yai is the largest island among the 8 island group of Koh Kam. At “Chong Talad” (Market Channel in Thai) or “Chong Nam” (Water Channel in Thai), which is located near Laem Atsadong on the far edge of Koh Kam Yai island, is this magnificent spot to watch the sunset. During low tides there emerges a sandy walk way 200 meters in length connecting Koh Kam Yai to Koh Kam Tok. Tourists visit this secluded island and the nearby Koh Fai Waeb for coral reef dives and to observe scarce birds.
Koh Kam Tok
Slightly larger than Koh Khang Khao, Koh Kam Tok has no inhabitants. Fresh water is available on the island all year round. The beautiful 300 meter-curved beach Ao Khao Kwai (same name as Koh Phayam’s northwestern beach) is a safe swimming area with crystal clear waters and clean white sands. This is another magnificent sunset view point.
Hin Khan Na
Scuba lovers should not miss visiting Hin Khan Na, located east of Koh Kam Tok. At low tide, this array of rocks can be clearly seen emerging from the sea 50 meters in length. It is a popular dive spot due to its extraordinary archway formation of coral reefs, home to various species of fish.
